KLM Airlines
KLM, the flag carrier of the Netherlands, holds the title of being the world’s oldest airline still operating under its original name. With a fleet of 116 aircraft, the airline services 130 destinations across 70 countries. KLM’s inaugural flight, from London to Amsterdam, was piloted by Jerry Shaw. In 2019, the airline celebrated its 100th anniversary, making it the first airline in history to reach this milestone. KLM’s headquarters is located in Amstelveen, close to Schiphol Airport. The airline gained significant attention in 2010 during the Icelandic volcanic eruption when customers used social media to connect with the airline for real-time updates.

The alliance offers two membership tiers: Elite and Elite Plus.

The seating on KLM’s Boeing 787 is based on the Zodiac Cirrus platform, similar to Air France’s design.
- Europe Business Class: Available on short-haul flights with KLM and KLM Cityhopper, this class offers spacious, reclining seats for added comfort. However, there is no personal entertainment system on these flights.
- Economy Comfort: Positioned at the front of the economy cabin, this class offers extra legroom and priority boarding. Passengers with full-fare tickets can book this class at no additional cost.
- Economy Class: Equipped with adjustable winged headrests and personal touchscreens for entertainment, Economy Class also includes in-seat power outlets and a satellite phone available for use with a credit card.
Baggage Allowance:
- Economy Class: Passengers are allowed 2 carry-on items totaling up to 12 kg, plus one checked bag weighing up to 23 kg.

Please review the airline’s baggage policy for specific details before your flight.
Frequent Flyer Program:
KLM’s Flying Blue loyalty program allows members to earn miles when booking flights and offers perks such as the Air France KLM World Elite Mastercard. Miles can be redeemed for tickets, shopping, or donated, bought, or transferred to others. Members can also claim any missing miles from previous flights.
In-Flight Services:
KLM offers a premium dining experience, collaborating with top Dutch chefs to design meals for all classes. World Business Class passengers enjoy a three-course meal, while those in Europe Business and Economy Class receive meals depending on flight length. All tableware is designed by the Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. Passengers on flights lasting over two hours will be served a traditional Dutch stroopwafel before landing. Special meal requests can be made up to 24 or 36 hours prior to departure. KLM also serves authentic Asian cuisine on flights to India, China, South Korea, and Japan. In partnership with Heineken, KLM became the first airline to offer draft beer onboard, enhancing the in-flight experience. As a special touch, World Business Class passengers receive a miniature Delft blue house, filled with Dutch genever.

- Domestic Flights: Passengers can check in online starting 24 hours before their scheduled departure.
- International Flights: Online check-in is available 24 hours before international flights as well.
