Cathay Pacific, based in Hong Kong, is the 10th largest airline globally and holds the title of the largest international cargo carrier. Founded by two former Air Force pilots, an American and an Australian, the airline originally flew the perilous “Hump” route over the Himalayas. Cathay Pacific was also the first airline to complete a non-stop transpolar flight across the North Pole. As a founding member of the Oneworld alliance, it operates alongside its subsidiary, Cathay Dragon, both of which share Oneworld affiliation.
Oneworld Alliance
Launched in 1999, Oneworld is the third-largest airline alliance in the world by passenger numbers. With 13 full members, Oneworld serves over 527.9 million passengers annually. The alliance provides members with access to a variety of services through the Marco Polo Club, its frequent flyer program. Members enjoy special privileges based on their status, which includes Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald tiers.

Cathay Pacific offers four distinct travel classes:
